I created this post on the anniversary of his suicide. The team blog I'm involved with was doing the A to Z blogging challenge. Boy, did people avoid this post in droves! People are afraid to talk about suicide and mental illness. I say let's talk about it. I am very up front about the fact that I have bipolar disorder and a history of self-injury. If we talk about it, perhaps we can prevent tragic deaths like this in the future. And thank you for being a worshiper in the right way. So many female metal fans express lust rather than respect for him, and I think that's kind of inappropriate, given his struggles and tragic end.
